Once the reveared developers of Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, Afterburner, Space Harrier (the list goes on) are hard at work bringing their \"light gun shooter\" Ghost Squad to the Nintendo Wii. Which means it\'s a \"Wii gun shooter\" or a \"light Wii shooter\" or a \"Wiimote shooter.\" Whatever you call it, it\'s very much in Wii vein with 4-player co-op. Sure, the game has been out in arcades since 2004, but better late than never, I always say.

In Lunar Knights, you take control of two different heroes, Lucian and Aaron, one powered by the sun, one powered by the moon, in an attempt to free the world from the vampiric legion. If you are familiar with the Vampire Hunter (Baktai GBA) series, you\'re already familiar with Lunar Knights. It is, however, Kojima Productions\' first foray on the Nintendo DS, and it\'s one worth a look.

Space Empires V doesn\'t exactly revolutionize the world of 4X gaming, but it does offer a multitude of micromanagement options, if that\'s your thing. The space empire building title lets you explore the universe and meet strange races with one of the most extensive diplomacy systems we\'ve ever seen, but is plagued with bugs that often get in the way. If you like micromanaging politics and investigating branching technology trees, Space Empires V might be for you, but only if you can survive the learning curve and a lot of frustration.

Capcom\'s Dead Rising has been a phenomenon: Muthafuckin\' zombies in a muthafuckin\' mall, to borrow a phrase. It\'s a great B-Movie of a game, enjoyable and painful all at once. Yet for all of its blemishes, Dead Rising is worth every eye-straining moment of frustratingly awesome zombie whacking. It\'s not for the faint of heart, in more ways than one. Konami\'s latest retro anthology, Gradius Collection, brings a long legacy of side-scrolling shooter mayhem to the PSP. For fans of the classic space-cave action Gradius made popular, this is a must-have collection. Sporting some welcome enhancements, including a quick-save feature that helps players reach previously unattainable levels and makes the games more portable-friendly, Gradius Collection is worth checking out to spice up that summertime commute. Space Rangers 2: Rise of the Dominators receives a second review here at GamesFirst after impressing one of our editors enough to be compared to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. This strategy game from the Russian developer 1C brings the open-ended nature of Oblivion into space, dumping the player into an immense universe with tons of gameplay. Working your way through the steep learning curve might be difficult, but the variety of gameplay, quality of game experience, and budget price make it well worth the battle.

With incredibly diverse player choice and a universe that\'s randomly generated each time you start a new campaign, Space Rangers 2 looks to give both titles a run for their money. The 2D RTS/3D Turn-based Strategy/Action title mixes a bit of everything into a game that\'s easily capable of taking on Oblivion in terms of the ability to go anywhere, and do anything. Space Rangers 2 is an unexpected gem that you\'ve probably not heard about, but should have.

Capcom\'s phenomenon Dead Rising is looking better than ever, with fixed framerate issues and polished, open-ended gameplay, not to mention the ability to smash a zombie with literally everything and anything you can get a hold of. It\'s \"Shawn of the Dead\" meets \"Resident Evil\" in Capcom\'s most promising IP since \"Devil May Cry.\"

Namco has been steadily rolling out the latest games for the \"mobile arcade\" of the future. At E3, the Pac-Man Arcade was in full effect: Besides a sequel to everybody\'s favorite game, Pac-Man, there are tons of new games to download that include both retro and cutting edge content. According to Nintendo.com, which was partially off-line for part of the morning, Nintendo has kissed the Nintendo Revolution name goodbye. Say hello to the Nintendo Wii, the new and final name for Nintendo\'s next home console. We here at GamesFirst did a double take for each of the two ii\'s, and even have one editor still convinced that the Nintendo site has just been hacked and that this will be cleared up by the afternoon. However, after the website came back up with all the appropriate links in place, it looks like this is official. The Nintendo Wii is here to stay, and the Nintendo Revolution is gone forever. All shall bow before the Wii.
